Glasgow Nanny Monitoring

A mother who had a thriving dental practice contacted the Detective Agency Glasgow through email. She had been interviewing for nannies for her 3-year old daughter. Because of a bad experience in the past, she wanted to find the right nanny who would keep her daughter safe. She was looking for someone with a strong background in childcare and who was morally and professionally responsible. A background search on Applicant B showed that she had some financial difficulties and was deep in debt. While her history of education matched that which was on her application, she exaggerated her work history. All the jobs were the same, however, the length she claimed she stayed at each was not consistent with the information our private investigators found. In fact, two of the nanny jobs lasted only a short time. When we called her employers at those jobs, they said they couldn't place a finger on a problem with the applicant. One said she interviewed well, but, after she started working, the employer felt uncomfortable with the nanny in their house and around their children. Having said that, neither could point to anything that she had done wrong. She just 'wasn't right for the job.' They also complained that she was on her cell phone a lot. Applicant C also had a clean background. However, two of her past employers never responded to our persistent telephone calls. But we did find evidence that she had been a nanny at both households for a lengthy stretch of time. Her application matched our findings, and our private investigators came up with a spotless history. Applicant D was the most problematic. The police had arrested her for petty theft twice. She claimed that she worked in a day care centre, which was true. On her application she listed her job there as a 'Childcare specialist'. However, when our private detective called the day care centre, they told him that she had done janitorial work and made the lunches for the children. But she never had any direct experience with childcare.

Our private detective agency provided the reports to the mother who quickly ruled out the two with poor records. She finally chose Applicant A because our private detectives could get complete confirmation of all of her details. A follow-up report a year later found the mother happy with her choice of nannies. She expected that Applicant A would be with the family as long as she chose to work for them.
